Behind the A-10 Warthog the FMS F-18 Hornet took the second spot as my favorite EDF jet to fly on weekend. Its its actually more powerful F-18 Hornet in my hangar when compare to my HK/Art-tech F18 Hornet yet more detailed scale molding, slight heavy and more durable because it made from dense EPO foam material which means resilient to mild crashes. Original stock FMS's EDF motor was useless provide 1:1 ratio thrust which i subsequently ended upgrade to TYPHOON EDF motor give real rocket power powered on generic size 3s 2200mah 40c lipo battery....oh yes i've created 'Cheater hole' for extra vents infront of the EDF unit to allow more air into the duct for extra thrust. The result this jet flies extemely fast, huge amount over vertical thurst climbing, great aerobatic performance and more swoooshy sound during flyby...however its not as docile and tame like the HK/Art-tech F-18 since everything from take-off to landing is coming in 'hot' which put this plane under minimum Intermediate level R/C piloting skill to handle this jet. By just upgrading the EDF motor this F-18 met proper standard of EDF satisfaction for any R/C jet park flyer enthusiast.
