To install wheels If you have downloaded customs wheels make sure they are available in pairs; left wheels (*l.smf or *l.bin) and right wheels (*r.smf or *r.bin).  These custom wheels should include necessary file to function properly:

  • Texture file [ART] - *.RAW and *.ACT (for Evo1 version)  / *.TIFF (for Evo2)
  • 3d meshes [MODELS] - *l.SMF and *r.SMF  or  *l.BIN and *.r.BIN

If you have these files then you can proceed with the installation as shown below:

  1. Unpod/extract your selected truck using PODTOOL or Winpod, you should get three folders [ART], [MODELS] and [TRUCKS].
  2. Put your new custom wheels texture file and put in in your car/truck's [ART] folder, and then put your 3d meshes file in your [MODELS] folder.
  3. Now go to your car/truck's [TRUCK] forlder andd open the *.TRK file using text editor program eg: NOTEPAD.exe or compatible.  Inside the *.TRK file there are list of text value/ configuration of your current car/truck.  Look down for these particular value as shown below
    ......................

    truckHandling

    truckModelBaseName
    XLxvert

    ......................
  4. Once you found the heading value for "tireModelBaseName", replace the value below these heading with your new custom wheel's *.SMF or *.BIN filename.  **.CAUTION:  when entering new value in the *.TRK content for your wheels make sure you remove the default ending name "l" (left) and "r" (right) marking.  For example:

"mytirel.SMF" -------[put value as]-------> "mytire"  (remove "l" : left indicator and vice versa)

  5. Finish?  OK, then save the *.TRK file.
  6. Finally POD back all your three default folder into POD file. Done! enjoy.

Good Luck!
